Hi Friends!
I hope you’ve all had a great week. I have been in Rome and I can definitely say Spring is upon us! π· Here are the highlights:
I Went Out
In day to day life I don’t get out much. Living in Italy these days has felt a lot more like “surviving” and I am also guilty of being a bit of a workaholic, especially when I get anxious (doesn’t make much sense does it π€). However, because Gabby was in town I think she could tell I could use a night out so we met up with some of her friends and had a great time in Trastevere. From playing foosball at a Rumeria to dancing the night away to live music, it was just what I needed! Sometimes you just need to get out and dance it out! ππΌππ½ππΌ

Special Visitors
The day Gabby left I was also gifted with more visitors! Manesha, Shaguna and Aahana π it has been great to have such wonderful sisters here to chat about life and enjoy the city while the weather has been shining βοΈ I love when I watch other people fall in love with Rome (it seems to have that effect on a lot of people π) We have some awesome plans for the weekend too! Be sure to follow along on Instagram to watch the adventures unfold. πΈ
Spontaneous Colazione
I recently discovered this cute cafe on a side street near my apartment. They even have vegan cornetti! π₯ If you didn’t know the typical Italian breakfast consists of a spremuta (orange juice) π, a cappuccino βοΈ and a cornetto (also known as a croissant) π₯. It is so often people go out for dinner or drinks, but how about a breakfast? (If you can) I definitely recommend treating yourself to a spontaneous breakfast this week. Not a bagel from Tim Hortons or something from the Starbucks drive-thru, but a sit down, enjoy your surroundings breakfast. π Cheers!
Sometimes you just need a sunset…
As previously mentioned the theme these days in Rome has been surviving. If I were to tell you the things I’ve had to go through the past couple of months since returning I think a lot of you would question why I am still here or how I am still sane. However, I understand I am in a period of contrast in life and the brightness is just around the corner… I must persevere as the only way out is through. My blog and my channel is a place for positivity so I will not be going into much more detail (but just know, I go through difficult times too). I have already taken the time to vent about such issues with my closest friends (sorry guys! π) and have began to take more time for myself, read and repeat affirmations and organize my life to the best I can. Sometimes we just need a sunset, something to grant us a pure moment of beauty to understand why all of the chaos makes sense. Thank you Rome, for granting me the craziest of chaos, yet the most beautiful moments. π§‘
Have a beautiful weekend friends β€οΈ
xx Zo
