I hope you all had an amazing week! From the Amalfi Coast back to Roma here are the highlights:
There’s no place more infinite
As I mentioned last week: there is no place I feel more infinite than the Amalfi Coast. There is such an energy here. One that leaves you feeling breathless, yet full of inspiration. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt in tune with my creativity, but now I am aligning. 🌺
I am most definitely a being of the sun ☀️ Give me sun and I have TOO much energy! 🤩🔥 On Friday the girls and I headed to One Fire Beach in Praiano to spend the day soaking up the Vitamin D and catching up on each other’s lives (My sister Jenn arrived by the way!) This was a perfect day on the Amalfi Coast and I am so grateful to have spent it with my girls from Canada.
The Amalfi Coast Tour with BlueStar Positano
On Saturday we had the most amazing day cruising along the Amalfi Coast with BlueStar Positano. If you haven’t seen my Italian travel diaries, last Summer when I took the day trip to Capri I also went along with the tour company BlueStar Positano, you can find that travel diary here. This time around we did the coastal tour and were able to see the entire Amalfi Coast by boat from Positano to Maiori. Seeing the coast by boat is pure magic and something I consider a must-do when you visit the Amalfi Coast. Of course, seeing the views from the terraces and rooftops is breathtaking, but to see the coast from the water gives you an enchanting view within. So many beautifully covered homes are painted along the mountain sides, there are medieval looking watch towers, hidden beaches, grottos and candy umbrellas decorating the shorelines… there is so much magic to be seen and I can’t wait to share it with you in my upcoming Praiano travel diary 😊 Stay tuned! PS: Don’t forget to ask for Hermes as your captain – he was fantastic!
Embrace Your Body
This is going to be a bit more vulnerable, but it is something I shared with my Patreon community this week and I am going to share it with you now. If it can help at least one person it is always worth it. Here it goes: An ex of mine once told me I didn’t look good in shorts so I shouldn’t wear them. A young Zo (me) internalized this and for over 5 years I haven’t owned or worn a pair of shorts that weren’t strictly for the gym. Sometimes our limiting beliefs or “complexes” (as my girls recognized it as) are in our blindspots. We don’t see or recognize them so we continue to live life with chosen truths. But these truths aren’t true they are simply just words spoken that we then turn into a story. It is us who choose to believe this “story” as a certain truth. I know it sounds silly – shorts? How scary can shorts be? But to me they were. This week I challenge you to ask a friend if they can sense any limiting beliefs or complexes that seem out of your consciousness. Choose to recognize them, embrace them and then take action to step out of your comfort zone. I borrowed Sofie‘s shorts for a night out in Napoli on Sunday (thank you Sof 🤗) and on Wednesday I went out in Roma and purchased a pair of shorts to call my own. I like shorts now, I own a pair of shorts now and now I am wearing a pair of shorts while I write you… And that is my new truth 👩🏼💻
An Evening in Roma
It is so often that the most spontaneous nights turn out to be the best of nights! 💫 After a rooftop Aperitivo at Rinascente the Canadian crew (above) headed to Hostaria Romana for a delicious Italian dinner! We laughed and chatted all evening long and winded up somehow taking large vodka shots? 😝🍋 It was tons of fun and certainly a night to remember with some of my favourite people in my favourite city. Grazie mille amici!
